Being fully present starts with the clear intention of staying focused. It’s about aligning our thoughts, actions, and mindset with what we intend to accomplish at the moment, not allowing anything else to take our attention away. We minimize or eliminate distractions so we can focus on one task at a time rather than switch-tasking. If we are focused, we accomplish our tasks effectively and efficiently.
When we are distracted, we may miss important details or make mistakes. We must take time to do things well and stay focused on our intention and dedicate uninterrupted periods for deep, focused work. During these sessions, we must avoid distractions and immerse ourselves fully in the task at hand to deliver WOW. Sometimes tasks might take longer than expected or encounter unforeseen challenges. But we need to keep in mind that patience and perseverance are essential to staying aligned with our intention.
Viewing challenges as opportunities for growth can help us stay engaged and focused on our intention. Know that we are the scrum master and with 10X accountability, we own our seat with no excuses. We don’t have to wait until we are told to do something great. We need to make sure we have the skills needed to perform at 10x levels in our seats. And keep moving forward by taking 10X massive action, doing whatever it takes to win, and never lowering our targets.
